HOW TO: Download and Play Audio Books

Step 1: Search for the book you would like to download.

When you have found the book just click the green 'Add It To My D/L Club List' button.

Step 2: View the books you have added to you download club list.

To view the different books you have added to your Downlaod Club list you can select the ‘View Download Shelf’ found to the right of the book description. Or you can select the ‘Download List’ from My Options’

Step 3: Use a Download Credit to Redeem a Book.

You can now use a download credit to redeem the book. First click the small selectable box to the left of the book cover then click the 'Use Credits' button.

A new screen will appear asking you to confirm the use of the download credit. Just click use credit and the book will be ready for download.

Step 4. Download the Book.

First you will need to access your ‘Download Library’, this option can be found under ‘My Options’. The book that you have used the credit on will now be listed in your ‘Download Library’. Once there click the green ‘Download’ button next to the title of the book you would like to download to begin the download process.

Once you click the green ‘Download’ button, a pop up window will appear asking you to do one of two things. Save the file to your PC, by clicking on the save button. Once the download is complete, select the open option to open the file.

If you would like to open the file without downloading to your PC, please select the open option. By selecting this option you’re allowing windows to automatically open the file using Windows Media Player

Step 5. Extracting the audio tracks to Windows Media Player.

This step is automatic, once you select the open option, your PC will automatically start extracting the audio tracks into Windows Media Player.

Once all the tracks have been extracted into Windows Media Player, you may be confronted with a warning message. Click ‘Yes’ as the skin file and scripts are not harmful to your PC.

Step 6. Acquiring the Digital Rights to Play the File

All of our downloadable audio books are protected by a security license to prevent the unauthorized copying and distribution of the product. As such, you the customer will need to acquire the license to play the file. The license acquisitions process is automatic the first time you try to open the file.

Once the file is opened, you will be confronted with the ‘Media Rights Acquisitions’ window. Enter in your e-mail address and password you use to login to SimplyAudiobooks.com and hit the ‘Submit’ button.

This step will take a few minutes to finish. Please do not interrupt this process as the computer is communicating with the Simply Audiobooks website. If you close the window before the Play button becomes active, you run the risk of corrupting the license. Once you press the Play button the book will begin to play.

To come back and play the audio book again, simply find the book in your playlist, select the track you wish to start with and press the play button. Enjoy your audio books!
