For some reason my favorite genre covers true stories on how household name businesses fail and collapse. I wish them no bad fortune but it just facinates me how so many companies get ruined by so few people. This one reads like a novel. Great insight into the characters....many of whom had meager starts like the rest of us but Genes/Circumstance and Luck pulled them to the top. How does top management allow 35 billion in toxic assets to accumulate on the books and say they have no clue? Greed, complacency and ego among other things. Anyway this book is well written and documents a picutre of the day to day workings of companies at the top of the capitalism.
