Gag

This was really, really bad. My first experience with this author. He does not have even a rudimentary understanding of the law or the legal system, neither the law-enforcement profession nor the court system. The dialogue was horrid. The book was boring and completely predictable. All in all, it was just awful. I cannot understand how a writer that is this bad continues to get published.

Predictable but Entertaining

I enjoyed listening to this book, although it gave too many clues too early. I pretty much had it figured out by half way through. I also thought the drawn out courtroom scenes were too long and boring. This is my first James Patterson book and couldn't understand why it was necessary to have a new chapter after ever page (or so it seemed). It was kind of annoying to break the flow of the book every few minutes with a new "chapter 100...". Overall though, it was pretty interesting and made my long drive a little easier.

Ok.

This book is fine if you are not looking for intelligent litterature. It entertains and the plot takes surprise twists. Having not read the preceding books in the series, I was at no disadvantage as Patterson fills in the needed gaps.

I really enjoyed this book, it took a little while to get into it but it was well worth the persistance. Towards the end I didn't want to stop listening.

This book is not what I expected. I didn't finish to listen this book. There are too much shootings and killings. Chosen by mistake.

I have loved almost everything James Patterson has written. Although I have not read (listen all of the Women's Murder Club series, but hope to soon. His characters seem so real, down to earth people. As I listen, I feel as if I am watching a movie. I am dyslexic, so I can get the story by listening rather than trying to read books. Very good book. I love mystery novels.

The book was great, just like all his books are. I really didn't guess the killer until the end and it surprised me. I like that in a book. Keeps you listening to the end. Happy reading

I enjoyed this book. I felt that it kept me interested through out and gave me a few surprises along the way. Also, I liked the new character they introduced who may have a recurring part.

The storyline wasn't the best, but the production of the audiobook was fantastic!

Love Lindsey Boxer! This was the first Women's Murder Club that I had been able to figure out before the end....most of them kept me in suspense right up to the last, but while I enjoyed hearing the last of this one, I already knew 'who done it'...LOL...just too many characters that were introduced into the story line, and then 'dropped'...or left incomplete. But a BIG YEAH FOR LINDSEY! A "DAMN GOOD COP".

Patterson, James

"James Patterson is one of the top-selling novelists in the world today. His debut novel, THE THOMAS BERRYMAN NUMBER, won the Edgar Award for the best first mystery novel. It was published by Little, Brown in 1976 when he was just twenty-seven years old, after being turned down by more than two dozen other publishers.

He has since written a string of major national bestsellers that includes the seven books in the series featuring detective/psychologist Alex Cross -- ALONG CAME A SPIDER, KISS THE GIRLS, JACK & JILL, CAT & MOUSE, POP GOES THE WEASEL, ROSES ARE RED, VIOLETS ARE BLUE and FOUR BLIND MICE-- as well as THE JESTER SUZANNE'S DIARY FOR NICHOLAS, CRADLE AND ALL, WHEN THE WIND BLOWS, and HIDE & SEEK. There are currently two books in the bestselling ""Women's Murder Club"" series, 1ST TO DIE and 2ND CHANCE.

Paramount Pictures' feature film adaptation of KISS THE GIRLS, starring Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross, was a box office hit in 1997. Morgan Freeman reprised the Cross role in the film adaptation of the first novel in the series, ALONG CAME A SPIDER in 2001. NBC bought the rights to 1ST TO DIE and aired a three hour mini series starring Tracy Pollan and Gil Bellows in February 2003. MIRACLE ON THE 17TH GREEN, a novel co-written with Peter de Jonge, was also made into a television movie, starring Robert Urich.

In addition to writing novels, Mr. Patterson served as chairman of J. Walter Thompson, North America from 1990 to 1996. He began his advertising career as a junior copywriter with the company in 1971 and went on to become the youngest executive creative director and youngest chief executive officer in the company's history. He made his mark at the agency by creating award-winning campaigns for Kodak, Burger King, Toys R' Us, Bell Atlantic, Bristol-Myers and others. He collaborated with advertising colleague Peter Kim to produce the nonfiction bestseller THE DAY AMERICA TOLD THE TRUTH.

Patterson grew up in Newburgh, New York. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English from Manhattan College and summa cum laude with an M.A. in English from Vanderbilt University.

James Patterson lives in Palm Beach County, Florida, with his wife and their young son."
