Not a bad listen. A little dated, but the information still stands the test of time.

Anything from Zig Zigler is always good. But this audio is great. Was very easy to listen to. Was informative and educational. Should be listened to by anyone interested in sales.

The concepts were timeless and easy to comprehend and apply. I have to agree though, the voice was irritating. I would not listen twice just for that reason.

"I like the way you talk"

I like the way this guy talks. Just picture your preacher telling you how to sell products door to door. It's totally worth 'reading' and I'd probably go ahead and purchase this one If I were you. He will make you feel like a million bucks in about 20 minutes of listening.

Outdated and Distracting

I know he's the founder of motivational related speaking...but man, his accent was really distracting. I think that the preacher from the Simpsons was modeled after this guy. The revealing of the 5 principles wasn't worth sitting through the banter. Not to mention that the stories of 1927 selling strategies aren't nescearriliy applicable any longer. I'm sure Zig would have been a great door to door encyclopedia salesperson.

Good Thing It's Only 1 Disc

This was OK, and I listened to it twice, but found Zig's accent distracting. There's some good information in there, but too many anecdotes for my taste.

Great audio-book if you endeavor to become a used car salesman or sell Amway. Zig speaks like a preacher and could cover the topics discussed in about 10 minutes. I would not recommend this book.

Oh, Ziggy...

Perhaps it's a long-time affinity for Zig dating back to my first business classes, like the first girl you kissed who you'll always have a special place for, that keeps me starry-eyed. There's nothing revelatory in "5 Steps", but it's not bad, either. It's just very Zig. If you are new to the romance of sales and business, I encourage you to fall in love. If you're getting a little long in the tooth like me, you'll find many of the stories and much of the motivation quaint, but you've heard better. I still like a little Zig every now and again on my drive to work, though.

Nothing new here. Quite jaunt to the sell, give yourself a 30 minute dose.
