Overview

Though best known for his work on the big screen, Alfred Hitchcock also directed the radio adaptations of some of his classic movies. This rare collection features superb casts--including Tallulah Bankhead, Loretta Young and Joseph Cotten--in radio recreations of Sir Alfred's Lifeboat, Foreign Correspondent, Spellbound, The 39 Steps, Rebecca, Shadow of a Doubt and Strangers on the Train. Also includes "The Lodger, " the 1940 audition broadcast of the long-running Suspense series.

If you like listening to the old radio shows, you will love these. Of coarse everyone knows Alfred Hitchcock movies are great classics, but to hear the original radio shows is a real treat. I thought they were great.

Not my favorite -- Would only be recommended if you are into Old Time radio theater; like from the 40's. Not too easy to hear, and I didn't like the stories much. Good as a historical reference, but that's all.
