1 principle to follow from the book 50-30-20 50-Mandatory stuff (home food shelter) 30-Play money (Everything else) 20-Savings (pay credit cards from this 20% then the 20% goes to saving for future) There, I saved you 5 hours - Dont bother to listen to entire book.

This book was just outstanding, I am really glad I listened to it. It includes a worksheet that you can print out on your computer that is an excellent resource for getting a handle on your spending. They boil it all down to what ends up being a simple, practical approach to getting your money in order, i.e. something that all of us can actually accomplish. Great book!

Such a slow, slow book. The basic premise is good, but wow, they dragged it out something fierce. Should have been a newspaper article, not a whole book. Definitely only appropriate for the financial beginner.

An excellent book on money

This is the best book on money I've ever read/heard. I agree with the authors that all of those other money books (that I have wasted lots of money on) aren't meant for average people with average money issues.

Same old stuff, just a different package. Maybe there is nothing new on this subject.
