Absorbing. And the section on how women got the vote was thrilling.
Good information but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend.
Excellent historical summary of one of our country's most important resources.
I found this book so interesting and informative that I immediately went out and bought a print copy so I could re-read it and look up names mentioned. It's great!
The reader was perfect. I learned some interesting facts. And I was pleasantly surprised to find information about african american women included in this book.
What a wonderful book! I had no idea of the horrendous struggles of women. I'm 42, knew some of the history of women in America, but as it was never really a part of my formal education, I missed a lot. I remember in 11th grade I had a progressive female teacher who introduced my all female class to the women's rights movement. We learned the major players but that was about it. This was a great listen! The reader was top notch. Never boring. I highly recommend this CD. Every women should hear or read this book!
Very disappointing. I found the book to be like reading a high school text book. Lots of facts, dates and events but not well connected and certainly not attention grabbing. One of few books I have not finished in years.
