A little hard to follow. It had some interesting things that you may not have ever heard in most history books.
Let me say that American History is my thing. I read all I can get my hands on. J. Ellis is a brilliant historian. This sounds like a great combination. However, this book was so boring that I couldn't plow through more than two discs. I am not sure if the actual book ever even began. Too wordy and dry, I was so dissapointed.
Joseph J. Ellis received the Pulitzer Prize for "Founding Brothers" and the National Book Award for his portrait of Thomas Jefferson, "American Sphinx. "He is the Ford Foundation Professor of History at Mount Holyoke College. He lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, with his wife, Ellen, and their youngest son, Alex.
