I could not stop listening to this book once I started. It's a little long, but Dan Brown gives a good history lesson along with the story. I always learn so much from reading any of his books. I kinda hated to see it end. It would make a wonderful movie. I kept trying to picture who would play Robert Langdon and Vittoria's characters. My husband was glad to see me finish the book--he got his wife back!

Much like those typical summer movies, this audio book follows the formula for entertaining, even if not the highest quality. Similarities between angels & demons and the Da Vinci code are evident. Some of the aspects of the plot are predictable, while others are so out there that they become unrealistic. Still, if you are in the mood for adventure, this book does not disappoint.

Dan Brown did a wonderful job with this book. Richard Poe is a great narrator. I hope the movie in the works does the book justice

A horrifying, action packed thriller that will leave a chill in your heart for weeks afterwards. The main characters escape many death defying situations. Full of perversion and twisted characters. It is my opinion that the book is evil and no Christian should contemplate reading it. The subject matter was thought provoking, however. The author accomplished his goals of producing a best seller with plots details and subject matter that appeals to many action novel readers.

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The narrator did a great job of portraying the different characters, and the overall suspense of the book definitely kept my attention throughout. I'll have to agree with others that it was predictable at times, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Over the top

I thought about giving this book a 3, but it was an entertaining listen with some very interesting (albeit somewhat predictable) twists. Dan Brown's writing style tends to be over the top. The characters are "stunned" or "shocked" hundreds of times during a 24 hour period. You’d think they would learn. Further the two main characters have more lives than cats, escaping almost impossible sure-death situations numerous times during that same 24 hour period. Even the story line was over the top. But as I said earlier, despite its improbable story line, it was an engaging listen. I looked forward to getting back in the car so that I could listen to the next CD, and at the end of the day that’s probably the best indicator of whether or not a book is good.

I'll angel your demons.

This was a great book. I think Dan Brown wrote it very well with great detail and realism, although antimatter is just a theory for now. The naration and different voices was near flawless. I loved it and could take the earbuds out of my ears, so I had to do mundane activities for 18 hours just so I could focus on it. But I listened to it in 2 days, it was that good. I would suggest it to anyone who like to be entertained and intrigued.

Brown, Dan

"Dan Brown is the author of numerous bestselling novels, including the #1 New York Times bestseller, The Da Vinci Code. He is a graduate of Amherst College and Phillips Exeter Academy, where he spent time as an English teacher before turning his efforts fully to writing.

In 1996, Dan?s interest in code-breaking and covert government agencies led him to write his first novel, Digital Fortress, which quickly became a #1 national bestselling eBook. Set within the clandestine National Security Agency, the novel explores the fine line between civilian privacy and national security. Brown?s follow-up techno-thriller, Deception Point, centered on similar issues of morality in politics, national security, and classified technology.

The son of a Presidential Award winning math professor and of a professional sacred musician, Dan grew up surrounded by the paradoxical philosophies of science and religion. These complementary perspectives served as inspiration for his acclaimed novel Angels & Demons?a science vs. religion thriller set within a Swiss physics lab and Vatican City. Recently, he has begun work on a series of symbology thrillers featuring his popular protagonist Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor of iconography and religious art. The upcoming series will include books set in Paris, London, and Washington D.C.

Dan?s wife Blythe?an art historian and painter?collaborates on his research and accompanies him on his frequent research trips, their latest to Paris, where they spent time in the Louvre for his new thriller, The Da Vinci Code.

In its first week on sale, The Da Vinci Code achieved unprecedented success when it debuted at #1 on The New York Times Bestseller list, simultaneously topping bestseller lists at The Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and San Francisco Chronicle. Later, the book went on to hit #1 on virtually every major national bestseller list. Dan Brown's novels have been translated and published around the world. He is currently at work on another book."
