I did not care for this book. It was slow, the reading was bull and I was board.
Very poorly written. Evangelical advertsing is mixed in with brief fiction that is shortened so the writer can get back to the commercials. Like a badly written TV show.
This tale is told with absolutely no ear for dialogue. The main character (not the reader) speaks so woodenly it was painful whenever he came on stage (especially the scene where he discusses Christ with his Saudi friend). Also, there are too many scenes which seem simply designed for the author to lecture on some point about Bible history (instead of advancing the plot). These interludes slowed the pace of the story to a halt.
If you enjoyed the Left Behind Series this is another good series from Tim Lahaye.
A good story of suspense and some action. Lots of biblical references and some preaching, but the author states that is his intent in the forward. Still, it did make me think...
"Dr. Tim LaHaye is a noted author, minister, counselor, television commentator and nationally recognized speaker on family life and Bible prophecy. Co-author of the Left Behind series, it was LaHaye?s idea to fictionalize an account of the Rapture and the Tribulation.
LaHaye is the founder and president of Tim LaHaye Ministries and the founder of the PreTrib Research Center. Currently, LaHaye speaks at many of the major Bible prophecy conferences in the United States and Canada."
