This was just "fun". I can't think of another way to describe it. If you are looking for deep meaningful plots, incredibly developed characters, or a story to die for, read something else. But if you need a romantic escape, and maybe a little grin then listen to this one!

The plot developed slowly and the heroine was indecisive about the hero for MUCH too long. The 'mystery' in the book was contrived and barely believable.

I think an earlier reviewer said this perfectly - it's very cute, very easy to get through, but not like Evanovich's normal (and I mean Stephanie Plum) novels. You still want to finish the book, but you're not dying for another one to come out and fill you in on the heroine's life.
