Found very amusing, the stuffy society types of the village and jude the new kid in town who fights against the establishment is great. The turn around in Carole is so funny and so much like true life. We all need to be nudged out of our own little ruts every once and awhile. Looking forward to finding more books about these two and listening to them. As to the mystery of the body on the beach. I was engaged through out the book and although I had a fairly good idea who the villain was I was never quite sure until the end.

This type of book is so nice because it presents women over 5o to be fun, intelligent,
energetic, caring people as so many are. The story brought in a few twist and turns. The pace of the book was methodical and complete (all introduced clues were tie to something).

Better than average Simon Brett! Wonderful starter of the series involving Carole & Jude. Didn't figure out the villain before the end.
