Hard to stay awake listening to this book, although there are some good ideas to take away - they aren't easy to find due to sleeping through most of it!!!

The book was interesting, in that it is written from the unique perspective of the cofounder of Microsoft. It was an inside look at the workings of the largest software provider in the world. Unfortunately the book is dated and the technology and processes outlined are passé...I'm not sure is there is an updated version if so I would recommend checking it out.

This book is simply too outdated to be relevant. The points are valid, and the approach is logical, but it’s just old news. No one likes the sound of Bill Gates’s voice enough to listen to this entire audio book.

I think this book is quite outdated. I am sure it would be interesting if you wanted to hear what business leaders were predicting years ago to see how many of their predictions have come true. But I will save you the suspense: they have. No doubt Gates is a visionary, and he has the genius to execute his visions. I just found this audiobook too boring to finish.

The nice thing about listening to the book this long after it was written, is that we can gauge how precise his predictions were (for the most part, he was very accurate). Good insight into business and how technology can be leveraged to create a competitive advantage. I was pleasantly surprised to hear as many business cases as I did (non-Microsoft cases at that). If business or technology is your passion, I would recommend you have a listen! If not, you may want to take a pass, as I don’t believe it would be entertaining otherwise.
