I thought this was OK, seemed a little drawn out. Would have probably been better if it was shorter.

I have only listened to the first part of the book which is fast paced with two murders and a list of suspects. The story line is by far different with this being a half way house that is opened to people in need. The conflict between sisters one a believer and the other a nonbeliever is evident. The unexpected murder of the two sisters parents at the first of the book leads into a world of uncertainty both in belief and in actual practal day to day living for all that were touched by the parents. The inner wars that are raised by characters into the world of murder and deceit are great. Can't wait to get the second half of the book.

I got started with the second book of the Cape Refuge series and read the third book; I was not able to find the first book until coming to Simply Audio Books, and there it was, plus other books by Terri Blackstock. After reading the 2nd book of this series, Ms. Blackstock had me hooked. I searched and searched (through my other book clubs and the internet) for the first book with no luck. I enjoyed this book very much and especially enjoyed the fact that it is Christian based and no foul language or gory scenes are included. It makes for an excellent read (listen) and still gives you the suspense and mystry one enjoys. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of the gore and filthy language now found in most books.
