If you like the TV show the Apprentice and you're female, this is a good listen. It was interesting to hear about Carolyn's story and how she made it to the top of the Trump organization. Be warned, she does really, really like Donald Trump and will continuously tell you that he is a great boss. I found it entertaining and I learned a lot too. If you want to move up in the business world it has good ideas that have worked for Carolyn.
She speaks well but the way they laid out the audio book is rather confusing. A male voice proclaims a statement and then Carolyn tells a story or anecdote that elaborates upon it. Thing is, sometimes it doesn't really help or offer much relevance. Chapters seem non-linear and the overall sense of organization is impacted. Personally, I can't really say I walked away with much from this book. It's more of a biography than anything else. I can also tell it was clearly targeted towards female business leaders seeking answers and insight into Carolyn's success. There are a few decent interview tips here and there but it's pretty basic. Dress nice, speak confidently, wait until the interviewer asks you to sit down, etc. In essence, a total waste of time for me. If you're a die-hard Apprentice fan or a female working up the corporate ladder then maybe you can find more entertainment.
