This is possibly the worst book I have ever attempted to read (listen to). Talk about repetitious. I listened to CD after CD and finally gave up a little over half way through the first 9 CDs when I realized that the author was STILL introducing characters; I couldn't tell the good guys from the bad guys; and, I had no idea what the plot line was. Although I am not suggesting that this author get another line of work, I do think a few courses in the craft of writing would be most helpful to O'Shaughessy and much appreciated by those who plan to purchase future works. I won't be reading any more of Perri's work.
All of the Perry O'Shaughnessy books are excellent. Fast paced with plenty of suspense. A hard to put down the book.
Right. They splash a guy on the side of the road and he puts a bomb under their car next place they stop. Of course. And this was just the Beginning of a long and totally illogical sequence of events. But I did listen to the entire thing, much to my embarrassment. I have since bought a number of books to keep on hand so I don't HAVE to keep listening to such sloppy and hackneyed writing. It was only slightly better than the stupid car commercials on FM radio.
This book bored the heck out of me. I could not wait for it to be over. Why did I listen to the whole thing? Because I had nothing else available at the time!
Fairly good story, but unless you are into math, on a very advanced level all the theories and quantum physics is boring and takes away from an otherwise of book. I wouldn't waste my time when there are sooo many other great books to listen to.
Another book of this author that I really enjoyed. The only downfall was all the math jargon. Way above my head and I found myself not paying attention at that point. Was worth the listen!
Nina showed both the strong and soft side of women. I liked the story and appreciated a smart women lead. The story moved at a nice pace.
I am a fan of the author and thought the reader did a good job. The book was great, very interesting. I look forward to more of Nina Reilly.
I keep saying I will not read any more by this author. Once again, this was too unrealistic to be entertaining and not well written. I found myself laughing at some of the cliched dialogue.
"Perri O'Shaughnessy is the pen name for two sisters, Pamela and Mary O'Shaughnessy, who live in Hawaii and on Lake Tahoe, and California and on Lake Tahoe respectively. Pamela graduated from Harvard Law School and was a trial lawyer for sixteen years. Mary is a former editor and writer for multimedia projects. They are the authors of nine previous Nina Reilly novels: PRESUMPTION OF DEATH, UNFIT TO PRACTICE, WRIT OF EXECUTION, MOVE TO STRIKE, ACTS OF MALICE, BREACH OF PROMISE, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, INVASION OF PRIVACY, and MOTION TO SUPPRESS."
