It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be based on the other reviews, but I did get it because The Nanny Diaries was great, so compared to that it wasn't good either. It's somwhere in between and since I never read the book I don't know what's missing so I got the jist of it.

This Stunk

This was BAD! But not bad enough that I could just stop listening which made it even worse because I had to suffer through the whole thing.

Don't waste your time

I am giving this story one star because there was no option to select zero stars. I don't know if it was a bad "book" but this version is certainly terrible. It is choppy, and you are really never quite sure what's going on.... The very reason I avoid abridged stories. Plus, the annoying voice of the reader doesn't help. KEEP AWAY!

I did not enjoy this book. I was bored and could not wait for it to be over. The writing style was good but the charecters were dull. Thumbs down! Sorry!

difficult read, meandering plot took forever to get to the point and I'm usually quite patient but I really would not recommend this book, it's quite possibly the most poorly written book I've listened to in a while.

Disappointing

While I admit I didn't finish the book, it was because it was painful to listen to. I didn't enjoy this book at all. I really liked The Nanny Diaries, so I was seriously disappointed by this book. Don't waste the shipping time!

I thought this book was really disappointing. I had read Nanny Diaries and really enjoyed it but this was no where near as good. There were so many things not answered at the end and honestly I just really wasn't a fan of any part of the book.

A real disappointment. I expected a lot after the Nanny Diaries. The storyline was SO unbelievable, I kept wondering when the main character was going to wake up from such a bad dream. Also I was disappointed that a lot of the questions at the end were unanswered. Too strange for my liking, not polished enough for such a popular author.

Not as good as Nanny Diaries, but still good entertainment for my commute.

Difficult to follow. Dialogue not believable. Amatuer writing attempt. Too bad, because I loved The Nanny Diaries. Don't bother to rent this one.
