Overview

As Americans face the ongoing war against terrorists and their state sponsors around the world, Sean Hannity reminds us we must also cope with the continuing scourge of accommodation and cowardice at home. With his trademark blend of passion and hard-hitting commentary, he urges Americans to recognize the dangers of putting our faith in toothless "multilateralism" when the times call for decisive action. He believes that only through strong defense of our freedoms, at home and around the world, can we preserve America's security and liberty in the dangerous twenty-first century.

"Evil exists," Hannity believes. "It is real, and it means to harm us." Tracing a direct line from Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin through Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden, he reminds us of the courage and moral clarity of our great leaders. And he reveals how the disgraceful history of appeasement has reached forward from the days of Neville Chamberlain and Jimmy Carter to corrupt the unrepentant leftists of the modern Democratic Party -- from Howard Dean and John Kerry to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Hannity's first blockbuster book, the New York Times bestseller Let Freedom Ring, cemented his place as the freshest and most compelling conservative voice in the country. As host of the phenomenally successful Hannity & Colmes and The Sean Hannity Show, Hannity has won a wildly devoted fan base. Now he brings his plainspoken, take-no-prisoners style to the continuing War on Terror abroad -- and liberalism at home

This book was out dated and I should have listened to it a few years back. My main problem with it was that Sean was not such a good narrator on this project and it seemed rushed, making the book more difficult to listen to.

While I disagree with almost everything Mr. Hannity has to say, he lays his case out in a calm, precise, and rational way. Kudos to him for making an approachable, if disagreeable, work for both side of the political aisle.

Evil is Evil, and not just missguided

Good book overall. Sean points out that Evil always exists. Not only does he go through history and points out where it raised its head in the last century, but also how in some cases how certain countries and even Americans let it rise. Like Hitler, Terrorism was allowed to rise, and grew very strong through the 90's while governments around the world allowed it to happen. Small efforts in the mid 90's would have significantly removed the chance of a 9/11, possibly even stopped it. By our government at the time did not see the forest for the trees, even through they said what would happen. It is a good book, though for the most part, nothing new for me. Especially good for those that may not not history and what led to WWII, and what happend in the 80's and 90's.

The Truth sets us free, but it also shows us how dangerous and sad things are. Don't prejudge the book if you have a dislike of Republicans. No matter what party or thinking, the Truth should be our goal.

Worth listening to! Sheds some light on many biasses and shows how little patriotism there is these days.

Classic Sean! As always, a consistent, and important presentation of the real truth, behind the dangerous agenda of the left "wingnuts".

Hannity, Sean

"He is host of the ""Sean Hannity Show"" now carried on nearly 400 ABC Radio Network stations, reaching almost 12 million people. He is also host of the highly successful FOX NEWS CHANNEL'S, ""Hannity and Colmes"". The gutsy talk show host always lands on the ""right side"" of the issues. Hannity got his start in commercial radio after drawing attention and enthusiasm from his college radio station. He placed a ""JOB WANTED"" ad in the R&R, billing himself as ""the most talked about college radio host in America."" A station in Huntsville, Alabama took a chance on the brash young voice. The world of talk radio would never be the same.

From that first station in Alabama, Hannity quickly moved to WGST in Atlanta where his strong ratings attracted the attention of WABC New York and the Fox News Channel, in the fall of 1996. Hannity moved to New York to co-host Fox News Network's, ""Hannity and Colmes"" show. Fox was so confident in Hannity's ability to attract viewers, it slotted the show at 9pm, opposite Geraldo on CNBC and Larry King on CNN. Today the ""Hannity and Colmes"" show is one of the most successful cable news shows. In addition to his ""on-air"" duties, Hannity is also the author of the New York Times best seller, ""Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty Over Liberalism.""

Hannity grew up in Franklin Square, Long Island in the shadows of Manhattan. By 1997, Hannity finally crossed the Williamsburg Bridge and joined 77WABC Radio in New York City, the nation's largest market. There he quickly became the #1 rated News and Talk show in the afternoon drive period. But that was only the beginning. The show became so successful that by September 2001, ABC Radio decided to syndicate Hannity across the country. That bold move was such a success that Talker's Magazine deemed it, ""the fastest growing syndicated talk show in talk radio history."" After just one year in syndication, that same publication moved Hannity up to 2nd place in the nation in their semi-annual list of nationally syndicated radio talk show hosts. He had officially become an American phenomenon.

Voted ""Talk Personality of the Year"" in 2001 by the readers of R&R, Sean Hannity's energy, charisma and seasoned professionalism score high points with audiences and critics alike. Sean Hannity is the hottest commodity in talk radio."
