I am involved in foster care as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in the state of Arizona where the fostering and adoption of Native Americans is an intense issue. I loved this story as it told of an education that cannot be judged by "white man's" standards. It was very moving. If we could be assured of this result in the 21st century it would be wonderful.

This was very interesting. The simple life to truth and understanding our gifts from God.

What a wonderful, heartwarming story! Excellent character development and presentation. The narrator did a great job and made you feel all the nuances of the story. I agree with the other reviewer that the abridged version was too short, and left you wanting more.

Fabulous story. The only trouble is the abridged version is MUCH too short, only 3 CDs. I loved it though and it's the kind of story that stays with you and keeps you in touch with real spirituality.

I LOVED this audiobook. It was a wonderful story, rich with description. I wanted to live like Little Tree, in the mountains, enjoying nature. The narrator's voice was perfect too.
