This should be mandatory reading for every voter in America. This man knows his stuff and is a true leader who is not afraid to tell it like it is. Citizens of the civilized world must have Moral Clarity to identify and confront evil. The "politically correct" moral relativity that is popular today is both lazy and dangerous. The ends never justifies the means when murdering innocent civilians is concerned. Playing the "victim card" does not justify the use of suicide bombing and flying planes into buildings. The author has the Right Stuff to indentify evil for what it is and offer concrete plans for fighting terrorism.

No real surprises in this book. If you've followed Netanyahu's political career and policies, you probably already understand what this book will be about. This book is about more of the same, and not about creative solutions. The policies will make sense to readers who share his beliefs that the Arabs are anti-Israel, not because Palestinians lost their land to create a Jewish State, and not because of Israeli policies which impact the arab population, but because the Arabs and Muslims are by their nature anti-Jew and anti-West. Thus, the only answer for Israel and Western Nations is to deal with them from a position of strength and distrust until they see the light. I imagine that this is such an obvious truth to him, that to even consider the effects of alternate paths to peace such as by stopping continued 'illegal' settlements, or compromises leading to a Palestinian state, don't warrant any mention in this book at all.

Benjamin Netanyahu is an example of a great leader who understands politics - rather than a great politician hungry for a leadership position. The USA, as great as it is, breeds far too many of the latter. I wish Mr. Netanyahu was eligible to run for high office in the US - not only for what he could do in his own post, but also for the example he would set for our "out to lunch" government. This book offers great context, clarity and perspective that's grounded in reality. There is NO DOUBT that 'radical Islam' wishes non-Muslims great harm beyond anyone's imagination, and it is just a matter of time before they have the capacity to do so. I honestly believe that millions of Americans will be murdered before the right steps are taken to irradiate this surge with the same intensity mankind harnessed to rid us of Polio, Smallpox and other deadly enemies. I hope a critical mass of common people begin educating themselves about the truth ...

Mr. Netanyahu expert opinion and perception of the global invasion of terrorist and terrorism is right on target. I wish that the American politicians would heed some of his suggestions! One important aspect that most civil libertarians might hate is the Supreme Court ruling that security ou trumps individual civil liberties. It makes perfect sense for most people but the left wing might consider this unnecessary and undue. I recommend this book to everyone that wants to learn how these terrorist monsters think and live. Excellent book and excellent suggestions.

I used to like Benjamin Netanyahu a lot more before I listened to this book. He offers some interesting insights that come from a lifetime of fighting against terror, but his thesis has some huge flaws. He mistakenly thinks terrorism is the greatest threat to freedom (not even close), he believes democracies would never trample the civil liberties of their citizens (even Hitler was elected), and his basic prescription for combating terrorists is to give governments unchecked powers. His view that judicial review and the democratic process will always be sufficient to curb abuses of that power do not stand up well to the test of history. Readers with a sense of history will marvel at what isn't said, as he never attempts to seriously address counter arguments (he sets critics up as straw men). He should have taken a lesson from Benjamin Frankin who said, "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. "
