Overview

In this fully-dramatized performance of H.G. Wells' classic, The First Men in the Moon, Leonard Nimoy, John de Lancie, and cast members from Star Trek® feature films and all four TV series take you on an incredible journey.

Written at a time when the idea of traveling to the moon was considered ludicrous, The First Men in the Moon tells the remarkable story of daring scientists who attempt to reach Earth's satellite...and succeed. But when they reach the moon, they encounter a lunar civilization unlike anything they could have imagined -- and face dangers beyond their greatest fears.

Featuring virtuoso performances from the entire cast, riveting sound effects, and original music, Alien Voices' production of The First Men in the Moon is an adventure in sound.

A good fun version of the classic. I enjoyed it and it was what you expect from a classic story. Good overall story.

It was ok.

I remembered this title from a movie that was created back in either the 60's or 70's. As usual, the movie version was different but in a way I liked it better than the book version. This opinion has mostly to do with the way the characters were portrayed in the movie vs the book. It was good to have a more enlightened viewpoint by hearing the original work, however.

the old radio programs. Its cool how HG Wells had thought about it in 1906. Decent, but thats about it.

Nimoy, Shatner, de Lancie - some heavyweight talent and a charming story make this a memorable listening event. Fabulously presented. Well worth the time.
