when i finished this book, i went out and bought a copy on cd for myself to share with others. as someone who has frequently judged conservative christians with a rather harsh ruler, it was enlightening for me to hear the extremely well thought out ideology of the author. he provides thought provoking insight into how conservatives and liberals might actually begin to find common ground on the social issues of present day society, and can back it up with biblical chapter and verse for those who require such.

Jim Wallis is a thoughtful and brave commentator on culture and religion. His book is about how we can come together to find common ground across our differences. He is attempting to draw liberals and conservatives together and spares no one in his critique. He is explicitly Christian in his motivations and rationale, but people of other faiths will still appreciate his insights. This is not an easy book to read (hear). Wallis steps on everyone's toes. While that may not sound inviting, it is the thoughtful kind of approach we need in America and one that is valuable for all of us.

Liberals can not get their message out there if they tell the truth so they try and hide it. This book is a fraud! There is NOTHING equal about this book. Conservatives (especially GWB) are BAD BAD BAD, and Liberals are the savior of mankind. If you like Michael Moore you will LOVE this fairy tail!!

Thank goodness for Jim Wallis! It's so refreshing to hear someone speak for those of us who believe that Pat Robertson's version of Christianity does NOT have a monopoly on morality. We're so tired of hearing the religious right use Jesus's name to push forward an agenda that we believe isn't always consistent with His teachings. This book is enormously inspiring!

Bash Bush, Bash Bush, Bash Bush, and the GOP is evil. The title is very miss leading. The author needs to move to Canada, or re-read the Bible the government is not suppose to be a baby sitter. The man had nothing bad to say about liberalism. Don't be fooled by the title. He is a liberal.
