Not Focused on Older Toddlers

I think I ordered this book too late. My daughter is three and this book really focuses on techniques and methodology that works beginning at 18 months of age. I think that getting the book when your child is at the end stages of being a toddler, you don't really have time to implement the concepts described. It was good information, but I found myself struggling to finish the book since I felt it didn't really apply to my situation. Still, lots of good info - def. recommend if you have a "just starting" toddler!

Worth a Listen

I found the narrator's voice mildly irritating, but overall found the material enlightening. Some of the developmental info given at the beginning of the book was simplistic and could have been edited. However, I did gain insight and patience with my toddler's behavior after looking at it from a developmental level. I liked hearing new ideas on how to deal with toddler meltdowns. Some of the practical tips section could have been more detailed. Even if you don't agree with some of the ideas presented in handling tantrums as mentioned by the previous reviewer, it is always beneficial to hear different tactics. Every child is different. This book can give you some new ideas for your parenting tool kit.

Waste of money. I didn't like his method of going along with child's tampertandrums. Two thumbs down for me.
