short, sweet, informative and funny! Dr. Hallowell is so down to earth, i felt like i was listening to a good friend. non-judgmental and accepting of our flaws, his advice was constructive, organized and do-able!

What a wonderful "talk" on the difficulty of worrying and the power of forgiveness. Just over an hour long this is something that I will rent each year and listen to again and again. I'm not one to worry but know someone very close (both my wife and her mom) who is and this has been tremendous in helping me see her worry through a different lens and provides some excellent things to do in order to provide support and help them cope. The section on forgiving is very powerful.

"Edward (Ned) Hallowell, M.D. is a child and adult psychiatrist and the founder of The Hallowell Center for Cognitive and Emotional Health in Sudbury, MA. He was a member of the faculty of the Harvard Medical School from 1983 to 2004.

A graduate of Harvard College and the Tulane School of Medicine, Dr. Hallowell is an expert at offering practical ways to approach some of life?s most difficult challenges. He is the co-author of the national best sellers, Driven to Distraction (Pantheon, 1994) and Answers to Distraction (Pantheon, 1995), both of which discuss attention deficit disorder in children and in adults. In addition, he has written books addressing emotional issues such as the importance of forgiveness (Dare to Forgive, 2004), worry and anxiety (Worry and When You Worry About the Child You Love), how to raise happy children (The Childhood Roots of Adult Happiness, 2002) and many more.

Dr. Hallowell is a frequent speaker on issues that include ADD, how to lead a healthy life, communication strategies for businesses, worry, stress management, and the power of connection. He has published in the Harvard Business Review on the topic of ?the human moment? and will again be published in HBR in January of 2005.

Also in January of 2005, Dr. Hallowell and co-author Dr. John Ratey are releasing their much-awaited new book on ADD, Delivered from Distraction. Following Connect, Dr. Hallowell wrote Human Moments: How to Find Meaning and Love in Your Everyday Life (Health Communications, Inc., 2001) in which he tells true stories from his own life which vividly illustrate the power of connecting deeply with other people, places and ideas. By depicting what he calls ?human moments,? moments of deep connection to someone or something that really matters, he writes the story of how he found meaning and love in his own life.
