Not very impressed, very repetitive, could be a 10 minute disc instead of 2 hours.

Harvey Mackay has an excellent way of presenting his ideas. This is easy to listen to and follow and is an excellent choice.

This book was simply an argument for the usefulness of the rolodex and the merits of maintaining contacts for future employment needs.

How To Build A Network of Power Relatio... [uab]

This audio set spends most of its time talking about the importance of network, not how to build a network of powerful relationships. I assume if you are looking for similar products, you already know the importance. The author talks of his life experience like a nice grandpa - soothing for those looking for comfort but the practical information is very diluted. When it finally talks about "how", it's mostly common sense. It's a waste of time.

I got one "take-away"

This CD set was quite short. It went very fast compared to the others i have been renting. He was easy to listen to - had a great voice and dynamics. But I only took away one nugget of information from the entire session. I liked the rolodex theory. But in the second CD he veered off onto job hunting which seemed to go way off topic for me.

Not one of his best, there are some interesting tips or quotes to use though.

Stating the obvious

The first half was a rehash of almost any networking book out there. The second half was better, but it seemed like he was jumping all over the place. I would recommend the book to anyone brand new to networking, but beyond that, this probably isn't the book for you.
