I really enjoyed listening to this book! As a lover of British history I couldn't remember how Lady Jane Grey's life ends ... so the ending stayed a surprise to me - and so very well written! Having different readers take the different roles made it extremely interesting to listen to - and helped to keep the myriad of characters straight! I heartily recommend this book to history lovers.

What can one say. Allison Wier does it again. A well read well written story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story blends real fact with slight fiction to provide an engrossing story of the 9 day queen.

This story is fascinating and riveting. What a terrible time to be a woman, yet what conviction and goodness Jane had despite her suppressed and unjust circumstances. Weir does a great job bringing Jane and her times to life and the narrators do a great job giving all the characters believable voices. I really felt like I knew these people, and when it comes to Lady Jane Grey I am thankful for it.

This story will make you very sad for the political machinations that Jane Grey was forced to endure. This book is a great way to get a free history set within the framework of a well-plotted story. I wish this book had been available to me when I was in high school and college.
