I am less than 1 year in a Bible Study group at our church on the Life of Jesus. This book certainly helped me to listen to information when I do not find the time to read the assignments. Thanks Joseph Girzone & audio books.

I was very disappointed in the audio book. It is simply a reading of the gospels. The author contributed nothing to the telling of the story. Anyone could read the gospels and call it Jesus' teaching. I'm glad I rented this and didn't purchase it - thank goodness for Simply Audiobooks.

There are no real insights here whatsoever - no original thoughts. It is simply a retelling, in his own words, of the four gospels. Thats fine if that's what you are looking for - I was not. If I want the Bible, I will read it. I was looking for something....I don't quite know...different.

It's a great audiobook, just not waht I was thinking. I was thinking it was going to be a discussion about Jesus and his teachings, but what it really was, was a cumulation of Jesus' life from the Gospels - so it was basically like having someone reading the Bible to you, except that it was a single reading from the beginning to the end of Jesus' life. There was elaboration from a scholarly point of view like you would have in a Bible Study.
