I can't really comment on the book as a whole because I didn't make it past the first part of the second disc. At that point there was no mystery, no suspense, not really even a crime. The characters were two-dimensional and bland, and the narrator's strange accents didn't help. The writer seemed to focus more on educating the reader about Oregon law than getting into the meat of the story.
