What a great story! It kept me interested from beginning to end. And I do love stories about my hometown (Los Angeles). The characters were great and interesting and I never guessed who the "bad guy" was until it was revealed in the story. Loved it.
I am a trucker and love audio books- They keep me going- this one I rented from a truck stop before I joined this club. It is so good, memorable, exciting, I just had to give my opinion. GET IT! Unabridged. Great Job Tami Hoang.
This story lost my attention so many times that I lost track of who was who. It seemed interesting at first, but I found my mind wandering every time he went back into the same explanation of how family comes first. There is no need to repeat this concept so many times throughout the book. I got it the first time. Not the best book I've read/heard.
This book was a thrill ride from beginning to end. Loved the characters, the plot and the twists and turns. I could barely stop listening.
Easy read. Enjoyed the writers style. Nice mix of humor and suspense. Not the best book i've ever read but entertaining. A little long.
Enjoyed listening. The ending caught me by surpise. Am looking forward to listening to more of Tamis books.
I am a James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman fan, and i did not think this book would be close to them, but i tried anyhow. Boy was i suprised, Tami Hoag is so talented. plan on listening to all her books. The book had a slow start but boy did it take off, i found my self sitting in the garage waiting for a stopping point and 30 minutes later went inside. Highly Recommend
Good read. Characters well drawn, and a nice mystery. Saw the ending coming about 2/3 of the way through, but it still played nicely with some surprises. Good writing. Way above average thriller.
In the beginning, I didn't think I was going to like this book, but I all of a sudden wanted to know more about the characters and who had killed the low-life lawyer. None of the characters here are common, familiar ones, and that makes the difference in keeping a high level of interest, at least for me.
THIS BOOK WAS GREAT! I IMMEDIATELY WANTED TO READ ANOTHER BOOK BY HOAG.
Tami Hoag was born Tami Mikkelson on the 20th of January 1959 in Minnesota. The town she lived in was very small, and there were few children her own age around her, prompting her to develop an active imagination and create stories from a young age. She completed high school and married her high school boyfriend, Daniel Hoag, in 1977.
Hoag never completed a level of schooling higher than high school, as she and her husband moved to a small town without easy college access. She spent the ten years working a variety of jobs, such as photographer’s assistant, showhorse trainer, typist, and salesperson. In 1988 she had her first publication; a romance in the Bantam Books Loveswept Line. After much success in the romance genre she switched to thrillers, where she was equally, if not more, successful and hit the New York Times Bestseller list thirteen consecutive times.
Hoag belongs to a group of women who all made the switch from romance to thriller at roughly the same time; called the “Divas”, they provide support and encouragement to each other.
Hoag currently lives in Virginia.
