I ordered this for my 4 year old son who loves stories of knights and King Arthur. I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars because it was way over his head. I would not recommend it for kids under 7 because of the style and detail of the way in which the story is told. We've checked out books on King Arthur from our local library before that were much easier to understand.
This is a nice synopsis of the main points of Arthurian legend. It gives some texture to the main characters and allows you to see some of the heroism and tragedy surrounding the mythology. Very well-read, with a few sound effects and great voice characterizations. The multitude of characters were a bit confusing at times, and the brevity of the book (only two discs) didn't facilitate getting to know most of the characters very well. But all in all it was a nice overview of the legends.
good for kids 5 and up. read with heavy english type accent sometimes difficult to follow but only 2 cd so short enough to enjoy -my boys enjoyed it but any longer no good
This book was easy to follow. Great for kids ages 8-12. We listen to these on our trips instead of searching for the many radio stations. The kids now want to hear stories all the time even for just a trip to the store!
