The choice of words in this book is distracting. I couldn't bear to listen to it for long. It reminded me of my high school English teacher complaining about us using "10 cent words."
One of my great interests in the world of music is trivia and this novel is packed with trivia. The Laurel Canyon legend is fully revealed and dissected in this audio book. It's a complete introspective into the world of musical icons, their lives, loves and lyrics. You will definitely want to spend a lot of time in your car listening to the chapters....enjoy!
This was a light easy listen, but don't have the kids in the car! Having grown up with these groups and characters, it was a nice visit down memory lane and definitely provided some insight and perspective I didn't have on the people who shaped rock music.
