For those of you with at least a minimal foreign language background, these CDs will be a great tool in learning or brushing up. My sister used these to learn from scratch but had 1 year of Spanish back in high school. I had 4 years of Spanish in high school and my wife is a French teacher so I've been previously exposed to French vocabulary. This program was a great way for me to really get a handle on speaking. I took a trip shortly after listening and was able to use small sentances with ease. No, you won't be an expert when the course is finished, but you will have confidence to try...and that is all many people in a foreign land/language ask. If you make the effort, they meet you half way. Highly recommended!
