Overview

New York City, 2 A.M.: Andy Gulliver is awakened by a phone call from his mother, who says that his twin sister, Annie, is gone. It's not the first time Annie has taken off for parts unknown. Since she was sixteen, she's traveled the world collecting body piercings, Tantric sex practices, and wild stories, returning home on a whim and leaving again just as suddenly. Only this time, it's different: After a troubling incident overseas, a doctor has diagnosed Annie as schizophrenic. For Andy, facing the truth about his twin means looking at himself, his family, their collective secrets, and their shared denial. In a frantic twenty-four-hour search, Andy must find his missing sister while piecing together their entwined past -- before Annie hurts herself or someone else...

I did not like this book at all. I have read many other titles by this author and think he is an excellent author, usually very interesting reads, but this book was a "dog." Pretty boring book about a very co-dependent family.

The use of extremely foul language was throughout the book. It detracted from the story and was too extreme to make the book enjoyable.

The book rambled too much and jumped around in time frames. I was disappointed.

Terrific read! I was absolutely involved with the reader and with the text. I cared about the protagonist, and his sister. I thought this was a good story!

I loved this book. Very cleverly written. So real you could believe it happening in many families.
