A good murder mystery. Not knowing this was the first of two books I read the second, Finishing School, first. This book provided me with good info on Melanie's history. I didn't know that lawyers were so "hands on" when it came to investigating cases, but M.M. is an accomplished attorney herself. She doesn't really try to hide who the bad guys are but there are still really good twists and turns in the story. The scenes are vividly written. You'll feel like a member of the investigative team.
