I found this book painfully slow at the start. It took 1/4 of the book for solid character development, but this was due to the elaborate and enthralling world that was being woven. I look forward to the sequels.

"I am looking forward to more from this author." hmmmmm Won't have to look far, goodness... a leader in the genre' Not bad, I enjoyed the slow naration switch between worlds that slowly gained momentum as the story neared the "big battle" giving the impression that the worlds were getting closer... not Hickmans best... but worthwhile read for sure.

Although the switching between the three stories (humans, fairies, & goblins) is sometimes difficult to follow, I found this book quite intriquing. Hearing the three worlds come closer together and yet not realize that they are each more than their own reality is quite an accomplishment on the author's part.

Looking forward to the sequel. A fun tale, not for too young a reader tough -- dragons, deceptions -- just what a good magic mystery needs. Just enough of dark to serve the ages ten and older. As a writer of young adult stories I enjoyed the trip. I am looking forward to more from this author.
