Not very mysterious

I thought this was going to be a Mystery story. It really was more a romance novel-with a little who-done-it tossed in.

I loved Now You See Her when I read it, but was disappointed in the audiobook. I think the abridgement rushed the story, making the romance unbelievable and cut out a lot of the sexy parts of the book. I also wasn't crazy about the reading. This is by far, my least favorite of Linda Howard's audiobooks.

Why oh why did it have to be abridged??? After All the Queen's Men I quickly became a Linda Howard fan and this one is no exception. I would have loved to have heard more of this story, loved to have learned about how she came to possess the abilities that she has. Listening to this one made me want to go and read the book just to see what I missed. Sweeney is so brutally honest that it will have you laughing at times. I listened to it repeatedly before I just had to turn it back in. This story will suck you in. Her honesty is refreshing. Another great one by Linda Howard. If there is an unabridged version out there, find it. I don't think you'll regret this one at all.

Way too predictable, and the love interest happened a bit too quick-they start dating, then before you know it, the "love" word pops up - come on

This was a very good book. It wasn't real scarey but it kept me going.
