I enjoyed this book, but it really did not stick with me. It took me a long time to get through this book.
I really enjoyed this book. This is the first book by this author I rented. An abridged version may have been warranted as some parts were too detailed and were dragged out, but overall I really liked the characters. There was action, romance, family bonding with believable characters. I will listen to more by the author.
I love this type of book, but hated this one. Thought the plot was ridiculous, along with some of the dialog. Narration for main character was boring and unemotional, but some of the other characters were good. I would have sent it back half way through, except that I didn't have anything else to replace it with.
Really enjoyed this one, but then I like most of Iris Johansen's books.
Once again Iris Johansen has given us a fast paced story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This unabridged version is long, but gives you the full effect of the well-written story.
I love Iris Johanson. Her characters are so interesting you can't help but get caught up in their lives. When the 4th disc ended I was sad to realize I would have to wait for the arrival of the next four discs. Grace and Frankie are wonderful characters and they are lucky to have such wonderful strong, scary men in their lives. Will Frankie ever learn the truth? I guess we will have to wait for the next set of discs........ Excellent plot and narration. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good adventure.
Johansen began writing after her children left home for college. She first achieved success in the early 1980s writing category romances. In 1991, Johansen began writing suspense historical romance novels, starting with the publication of The Wind Dancer. In 1996 Johansen switched genres, turning to crime fiction, with which she has had great success. She had seventeen consecutive New York Times bestsellers as of November 2006.[1]
Johansen lives in Georgia and is married. Her son, Roy Johansen, is an Edgar Award-winning screenwriter and novelist. Her daughter, Tamara, serves as her research assistant.
