Overview

Dante's The Divine Comedy is one of the most influential works of Western literature. Published shortly after Dante's death in 1321, it is a remarkable vision of a man's journey down into Inferno, then to the limbo of Purgatory where Man pays penance while awaiting redemption, and finally to the bliss of Paradise. It has retained its power and its poetic impulse over seven centuries.

Very nice reading of a difficult title. Don't miss this one.

The Inferno was fascinating, but Paradise was insipid. I'm not sure what lesson should be taken from this.

Part of a classic novel, i really wanted to check out this book. Unfortunately u listen to these books while commuting or multi-tasking so thins book in particular, because of the old writing style sems to be a bit hard for me fto comprehend and feel it would be better to (for me) to actually read it rather than listen to it to help me soak it all in.
