Some great material but Eckhart Tolle should not be allowed to narrate his own audiobooks. I listened to this for 20 min. in the car and had to turn it off for fear of falling asleep from the mono tone of his voice. I read the book and it is much better not hearing his voice. Good book but terrible audiobook.
A total waste of time. Don't bother with this rambling, boring book.
Powerful is the only way to describe this audio book. It contains thought prospectives that most of us have never known before. The ideas along with the analysis of how they play out in our lives is genius. A great listen.
The audio of this recording made listening very difficult. Even after adjusting the bass, etc. it was just very hard to understand. I simply was unable to finish the book.
I found this interesting, and eye opening. it made me look a bit harder at myself and what "I" was about.
Great, powerful and simple to understand - simplicity at its best.
In the beginning of the book Tolle says not to compare his philosophy with any other. I could not help it, being in “The Present Moment” sounds a lot like things I have read before. I was hoping for something revolutionary. The “present moment” sounds like a German version of “Mindfulness”. Still, there were a number of enlightening moments in the book. I did have some problems understanding the author. It maybe that his voice was too high or that there were a couple of bad places on the CD and the sound dropped off. I play all of the CDs (1-4 & 5-7) at least twice.
This was a waste of my time. It's clear after the first 30 minutes that this guy was definitely in a bad place until he matured somewhere in his 30's. I guess this would be a good listen for anyone that allows their negative feelings or thoughts to run rampant in their life and ruin every nice thing they encounter. For the rest of us that have learned to master our emotions and not take life too seriously all the time, this world is a fantastic place.
If you want to change your life and be on the road to enlightenment this book is a must. This book will help you no matter your religion or back ground. It will help you find peace if that is what you seek. Worth every present moment to read.
