Overview

How do we practice II Corinthians 10:3-5, "tearing down strongholds by captivating our minds with the knowledge of God"? Beth Moore shows you how in Praying God's Word.
A topical prayer guide addressing fourteen common strongholds and what Scripture reveals about each of them, Praying God's Word presents Scriptures in prayer form to be incorporated into your daily prayer life.
God's Word, through prayer, helps you overcome bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness, setting you free from each and every stronghold which claims your life, and replacing it with the mind of Christ.

Not for Audio

Good book, but difficult to follow as an audio book. She lists several scriptures with each chapter that would be great to meditate on, but it's very difficult to follow audibly.

Wonderful for the car!

I have the book but found little time to ready it so I rented the audio book and it was wonderful! I can always use my hardcover book as a reference. I was able to find what I believe my strongholds are an replay each section until I understood the block. It was a ton of information at once and you really have to listen because it was not a "story" being told but the truth, and the truth can be thick and rich. You have to consume it over and over to let it sink in. I would consider buying this in audio book or book form because you would want to reference it throughout each struggle you encounter.

good, but probably better in print

I liked this book. It was really encouraging, gave great suggestions on praying with scripture, and discussed a number of common challenges -- Beth Moore calls them strongholds -- Christians face. It was inspiring and has me studying the Bible with a perspective on "how can I apply this to me or pray this for me or my loved ones?" The only thing is, she gives many many many examples of praying scripture, and while it is useful to hear, it would be much more useful in print form so you can refer back to it with more ease.
