This is one of my favorite books in the whole world. I got the audiobook so I could listen to it in the car with my kids. This is an abridged version; most of the wit and humor is gone. You might as well just watch the movie.

Very Fun

This abridged version of the book follows very closely to the movie. It's entertaining, but doesn't really fill out the story past what you might expect it to. Rob Reiner does a wonderful job at capturing the off beat nature of the book and keeps the character of the book in tact. I would love an unabridged version of the book, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Wesley and the fire swamp.

The book followed the movie fairly closely, or, visa versa. I enjoyed the book, but the reader left me wanting. I was expecting the humorous parts to be more obvious, but the reader seemed to just pass over them as if they were merely words of no value. However, it was good enough for me and I hope to find the unabridged version some day to read for myself.
