Overview

What is self-esteem? A type of confidence? Or something far greater? On Self-Esteem, Caroline Myss casts a new light on this often misunderstood subject, redefining self-esteem as an actual “core power” that is essential to our evolutionary progress. In fact, Myss teaches, your potential for success in life is determined by how greatly you “esteem” or value who you truly are. Beginning with a look at its roots in childhood, and branching into the real world of daily experience – including finances, relationships, and spirituality

Myss illustrates the incredible changes that come when we nourish this life-giving force. Building on her revolutionary bestsellers Anatomy of the Spirit and Sacred Contracts, Myss explores:

• How your strong self-esteem threatens other people – and why you must strengthen it anyway
• How your intuition, spiritual guidance, self-healing capacity, and your self-esteem all depend on each other
• PLUS special guided exercises for cultivating healthy, vibrant self-esteem, available only on this audio session, and much more
“How would your life change if your self-esteem improved?” Myss asks. Now you can find out, with this “energetic template” for radiating the quiet power of your own Self-Esteem.

Myss frequently contradicts herself and doesn't seem to follow her own advice. She also adores the word "archetypal"--to the point where it gets maddening. This is the first CD series I decided to stop listening to before I got to the end.

If real estate is about location, location, location, then life is about perspective, perspective, perspective. Wearing Gucci suits is fine, I guess, as long as you don't crumble without them. I enjoy Myss' no-nonesense yet humourous style. I'm going to see if I can buy it.

Great tips. You might have to listen to this one more than once because there is a lot of material to digest. Caroline is easy to listen to and her instensity brings home her points.

I really enjoyed Carloine Myss when she got together with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés for "Intuition and the Mystical Life." What a fun conversation to listen to! I like Caroline, but she doesn't strike the same chord, of course, as Dr. Estés. And it seemed like she was contridicting herself at times ("don't worry about what your car looks like" in one part, and then later, "I have the top designer suits in my closet"). I was thinking, well, it's nice to make a lot of money doing something for people's self esteem -- but I think I'd feel a little...well...taken advantage of if I'd bought the CDs instead of renting them. I know they're expensive.
