Wow, what a great book. You find yourself taking the perspective of the protagonist as the mysteries of the Japanese culture slowly unravel. By the end of it, you feel that you've changed fundamentally in your views and can truly understand all the "barbaric" customs that the Japanese are famous for. A great read to learn about hte Japanese culture AND as a good adventure story.
