The story was a bit gruesome at times and I didn't care much for the treatment of the women in the book, but I did thoroughly enjoy the authors writing style. Witty and acerbic.

If you like listening to narcissist alcoholic nihilists, ears being nailed-then-ripped from tree trunks, and the exploits of vicious serial rapists, then this book is for you. It really was not something I wanted to sit through on my daily commute, however.
