Pretty Basic

If you really don't have any idea of where to start or how to prepare a speech, then listen to this. It covers the basics with no frills, and provides the least you need to know. Not a lot of vocal engagement, and the way it is read sometimes leaves you drifting, so you have to keep yourself focused.

It is odd that a book about communication skills would be so difficult to listen to. The material is solid, but presented in an "outline" form- you can almost hear the bullet-points in the script. Didn't help that the narrator read the material as if it were a news broadcast.

Good solid material

This is the starting point. The info is a basic Manager's manual on speaking. I would say this is a must read for anybody. Even though this info isn't new, it is concise and is a great review.

Less than earth shattering

I didn't really learn anything new with this audiobook - probably good for people just beginning to learn about leadership and business communication, but not for the experienced professional.
