Overview

For decades, New York Times best-selling author Frederick Forsyth has helped define the espionage thriller with acclaimed novels such as The Day of the Jackal and The Afghan. Ripped from today's headlines, The Cobra continues this rich tradition. In the US and Europe, the scourge of cocaine rips apart communities and destroys lives even as drug lords reap untold profits. Tired of the cartels always winning, ex-CIA operative Paul Devereaux assumes the identity of The Cobra and begins a one-man war on the international drug trade.

Worse than awful.

Awful! I love Frederick Forsyth's work...at least I did before this book. What a shameless suck-up to Obama! I cannot believe how ignorant he had to have been about this president to have begun a novel's premise with so much misinformation about him and his wife. I couldn't even tolerate listening through the second cut of the first disc! Totally disgraceful. If Mr. Forsyth was that concerned that he get a good review from The New York Times he should have made up a news story. If I could give this piece of trash less than one star I would.
