Overview

In his bestselling book The Great Boom Ahead, Harry Dent foresaw a booming stock market, falling mortgage rates, and the resurgence of America as the premier global economic superpower. All of his predictions have come to fruition.

In The Roaring 2000s, Dent focuses on the full spectrum of changes that will follow in the wake of the burgeoning turn-of-the-century economy. According to Dent, how and where we work and live is about to change more drastically than at any time in our history -- due to the convergence of the mainstreaming of the internet and other technologies and the peak spending years of the aging baby boomers. This will result in nothing less than the greatest boom in history since the Roaring Twenties -- and an unprecedented opportunity for investors, entrepreneurs, and the savvy people who anticipate these changes.

With new research tools applied to the trends that have developed within the last few years, The Roaring 2000s reveals concrete predictions and in-depth insights into the new millennium. A revolutionary audio program, The Roaring 2000s is a necessary guide for the future.

Couldn't Get Thru The 1st Chapter

I'm not going to be hypocritical and say this book was good or bad because I just couldn't listen to it. I know this sounds silly but the combination of the readers high-pitch voice combined with the first chapter's "It's the 2000's and everything is going to be great because nothing can go wrong" theme was the opposite of what I was looking for. So my review is this: I personally couldn't listen to this book because I'm interested in books that give solid detail on steps to take when preparing for your financial future and this book seems to have a "don't worry about it" kind of tone. I'm hoping that someone who has actually read the whole book will post a review that will either confirm or correct my *assumption* of where the book was headed. If others note that the book changes tone/direction after the first chapter, I will read it from cover to cover.... but until then, I’d rather spent my time with more serious investment strategy books.
