At first I wasn't sure what I was listening to, and then I thought I had rented a children's books. However, after the first disc, I was hooked. Chet is a fascinating character and adorable- and I don't have any pets! It was an interesting point of view I have never experienced before in reading and I hope there are more stories in this series. Excellent work and a really enjoyable read!
I smiled the whole time I listened to this book. Spencer Quinn makes Chet, a K-9 school dropout and assistant to private detective Bernie Little, both enchanting and believable. It's hard to picture that a book narrated by a dog would be so good. Chet's insights into his fellow dogs ("The Nation Within the Nation") and his devotion to Bernie are heartwarming. The series just keeps getting better.
