Is There a Doctor in the House?

Finally, answers to all those strange questions you'd like to ask your own doctor but haven't had the guts (or more likely the time) to do so. If you've ever wanted to ask a doctor . . . How do people in wheelchairs have sex? Why do I get a killer headache when I suck down my milkshake too fast? Can I lose my contact lens inside my head forever? Why does asparagus make my pee smell? Why do old people grow hair on their ears? Is the old adage "beer before liquor, never sicker, liquor before beer. . .," really true?

. . .then "Why Do Men Have Nipples? is the book for you.

Compiled by Billy Goldberg, an emergency medicine physician, and Mark Leyner, bestselling author and well-known satirist, "Why Do Men Have Nipples? offers real factual and really funny answers to some of the big questions about the oddities of our bodies.

I can't believe SA stocks this non-book. All the information has either been disseminated via mass chain emails or found as a quip on any news site. The set-up for WHY they're giving you these tidbits is really ham-fisted and lame. It was like listening to a high school book report. Don't waste time on this one!

good...but...

Decent book, although it was fairly short, so not sure if it is worth the time to rent.

Do not waste your time on this book. It is really bad. It is disgusting humor and it is very short. I was disappointed how few medical facts they actually included.

Sorry, but One Star is One Star too many. This is a No Star Book, a pointless exercise that never answers the real question: Why Did a Publisher Waste Several Trees on This Non-Book? A ghastly waste of time -- and it's only one disc long!

Short book that should have been shorter

This book is boring and uninformative. About half of the proposed tidbits of information are not fully answered and only teased at. The whole thing is wrapped in a boring narrative of a purported party atmosphere where the questions are supposed to have been asked. We are treated to unnecessary information about the authors along the way and only occasionally treated to the answer to a new question.

Great Book

a very short audio book. Only 1 cd. It was a nice change from the more serious audio books I normally rent. Actually learned a few things from this audio book. It won't change your world but it might change your perspective about how you see it.

Entertaining

This book is a fun collection of interesting facts that you never knew you wanted to know. The internet provides the average person with instant answers to "all those strange questions you'd like to ask your own doctor but haven't had the guts". This book, however, addresses many curiosities in a humorous, funny, and to-the-point narrative.

When I first opened the package, I was very disappointed that it only contained 1 CD. By the time I started listening, I was wondering if I'd even be able to FINISH that 1 CD. The 1st 5 tracks talked about nothing except the two authors talking about themselves. THe last 2 tracks were commercials advocating listening to other books, especially by children. So of the 15 tracks available, only 8 contained real content. And even that content was trite and annoying. A complete waste of time, and I'm frustrated that I've blown the 10-16 days it will take to have this selection returned, and a new selection to arrive. Don't bother with this selection - even 1 star is giving it too much credit.
