A Gumba's Guide to Negotiation

His last name may be Cohen, but it sounds like your listening to one of the Good Fellas narrating. It is an entertaining listen, but I'll echo earlier reviews and say that the structure and depth of content is not good. Go check out "Getting Past No", a lot of the same concepts, but less character. Cohen does address the power and human elements in negotiation. Very interesting. Time to readt he book.

Good information. Probably should have listened to the unabridged version. I was looking for a little more meat. But the ideas were relavant and made a lot of sense.

Great Book - Practical, Humorous, Interesting

I thought this book was a great read. I'm sure a 'professional' negotiator would take exception to the fact that it is not 'in depth' and technical, but for the other 99% of the population who just wants to have an edge dealing with people it is priceless. The narrative is simple and includes humor and satire. It kind of reminds me of sitting around listening to advice from an elder uncle. My only complaint was that it could have been longer and the structure/outline was less instructional and more informational. With that said, the book is still 5 stars in my opinion and I highly reccomend it.

Not worth the time

There were some good points to the book, however I was hoping for more. It is always good to review things you have already learned, and for that reason I'm happy I rented it. If given the chance again, I would choose another book on the topic.
